Skydance Paramount Plans to Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – Report
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn led by new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August worth $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm aiming to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Prior news suggested the firm planned to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the organization retained almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 contract workers.
